Preparation
This year our holliday will take us to Florida, USA.
Last year we already had the intention of going there, but it turned out to be too expensive at that time.
Although the dollar-exchange-rate has hardly changed in January 2002, we have decided to go anyway.
(Right before our holliday it appears that the exchange rate of the dollar has dropped quite a bit against the euro, and both currencies are now almost equal in value, which reduces the costs).
After we checked some travel brochures and made price comparisons, we moved to the internet.
Searching for information about Florida is no problem at all.
Truly everything about this state can be found on the internet.
A fine place to start your search are the many portalsites, like the Florida Page or the Orlando Page.

Booking
Upon searching we came to Florida Travel. After price comparison and, even more important, the possibilities within the trips offered, we made our choise. So in January 2002 we booked a trip at Easyway Travel, a daughter company of Florida Travel.
Wishes
Although we initially intended on staying a bit longer than two weeks and visit Miami, this turned out to be difficult.
We were able to book according to our wishes, but on the days of our choice Martinair has no flight back to Amsterdam.
And to take all that trouble for a stay of only three nights wasn't worthwile according to us.
Five nights became a little too long.
Besides all that it turned out that the hotel we desired was fully booked at that time, giving us the opportunity to stay in the Ramada Plaza Marco Polo hotel.
This hotel is not so well situated according to our opinion.
Also, the Miami Beaches turned out not to be very well rated.
All in all this made us decide to go visit just Orlando.
